Draw the outline of the character first, carefully observe every detail of the character, such as wrinkles, eyebrows and beard. After drawing the whole picture, draw every detail repeatedly, and learn the deficiencies of the details from the observation again and again.
Good works come from step by step reflection and revision; When the work is generally completed, we can see the deficiencies of the work. At this time, we need to reflect on what is wrong. How do you make it better? How to better reflect the meaning or spirit we want to show. In one of my works, I will go back to observe after painting, and then I will feel that there are still some modifications to be made. Then I thought again and again about the need to modify or add, and I added many times in one of them. Whenever I finished it, I always felt as if I did not show the spirit of the characters, and I added some color differences to make the characters more vivid.
If I were to do it again, I would say that the portrait of the old man adds more detail, adds more wrinkles and the texture of the beard, which can highlight the features and age of the old man. I felt the need to add more color and detail to the portrait of the woman. The colours were too dull to convey her youthful message.
